2 Chronicles 13-14; John 12:1-26
Most construction begins with DECONSTRUCTION.
Land has to be cleared.
Debris has to be removed.
Old walls come down in preparation for new ones.
Good King ASA followed the same pattern:
“He removed the foreign altars and the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles… He removed the high places and incense altars in every town in Judah.”
THEN – it says:
“He built up the fortified cities of Judah, since the land
was at peace.”
It’s the SAME WAY with our Spiritual Lives.
God often has to tear out old habits and attitudes
before building new ones.
Ready for some NEW things with God?
Then get ready to lose some OLD things!
Have a Blessed Thursday!

All too often I’m too proud to let God tear me down to the place where he can construct something better than I am now. In addition to fighting off pride, I’m sort of a pansy when it comes to facing off against pain, and tearing away the bad old stuff is hard surgery to endure without an anesthetic.
